The 2019 Elections are fast approaching! A number of local seats will be up during the November 5, 2019 contest.

Races

Consititutional Offices

4 of the 5 constitutional positions, all of which are held by Democrats, will be up for reelection:

Sheriff (Mike Worrell [D] incumbent)
Commonwealth’s Attorney (Mike Fleenor [D] incumbent)
Treasurer (Melinda Worrell [D] incumbent)
Commissioner of Revenue (Donna Gray [D] Incumbent)

Board of Supervisors

All 5 members of the Board of Supervisors will be up (Robinson, Massie, Cloyd, Draper, Ingles).

Declared candidates:
- Fritz Streff(Draper)
- Ronnie Coake(Draper)
- Jeff Worrell(Robinson)

School Board

All 5 members of the School Board (Robinson, Massie, Cloyd, Draper, Ingles). - *Note that these seats are non-partisan, and therefore candidates are not nominated by the committee. Candidates will be seeking signatures for their candidacy.

House of Delegates:

Both local House of Delegates seats will be up for relection

7th District (Nick Rush [R] incumbent)
- Declared candidates: Todd Fearer
12th District (Chris Hurst [D] incumbent)

State Senate

38th District (Ben Chafin [R] incumbent)

Nominee Selection

In order to select our candidates for the above positions (where the incumbent is not a Democrat), the Committee voted to hold an assembled caucus on May 2 at 7:00PM in the Pulaski County Circuit Court Room. In order to be considered for nomination, candidates MUST notify the party chair and submit candidacy forms no later than midnight on April 18. Candidacy forms are available below.
